The Baptist Children's Village exists, as part of the Mississippi Southern Baptist Church, to take the good news of Jesus Christ to children and families. We have been caring for children and families since 1897 through both residential and non-residential programs.
The residential program is designed to meet the long-term needs of children, ages 1 through 20. Children in this program remain in our care until such time that they may be reunited with their families or otherwise be placed in caring family environments. Some residents remain in our care until they are equipped to function independently. During their stay with us, each child lives in a cottage on one of our seven campuses with other residents and Christian adults called Houseparents. In the cottage, the child will share a bedroom with one or two other children. Each child has their own bed and closet space. The children attend local public schools and Baptist churches in the community, and participate in many recreational activities, both on and off campus.

If you are a mission-minded, husband and wife team who loves working with children and youth, you might make a fantastic houseparent in one of our residential cottages.
